The Younus College of Engineering & Technology, YCET was started in the year 2002, by Fathima Memorial Educational Trust, at Manakkad, Vadakkevila, Kollam -10, 4km east of Kollam Railway Station and just walkable distance from Pallimukku junction on N.H.47. This is a Self financing Engineering College in the private sector, recognised by Govt. of Kerala and approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. The College is affiliated to the University of Kerala. We are committed to promote and propagate quality and value based education at par with international standards. The College is well set to bring out competent quality engineers.

Admission & Fee at YCET


Minimum Eligibility: Pass in Higher Secondary Examination or the equivalent Examination recognized by the University of Kerala with 50% marks in Mathematics separately and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Maths put together. Diploma in Engineering awarded by the Board of Technical Education, examination or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereto by the State Board of Technical educations, after undergoing an institutional course of at least three years duration securing a minimum of 50% marks in Final Diploma Examination.

Facilities at YCET


Separate well furnished for girls and boys with fascinating facilities conducive to their comfortable studies are available for the students. The men’s hostel is situated in the pallimukku junction itself. There are two girls hostel situated very near to the college which serve warm accommodation and homely food.


The  library comprises about more than 10,000 books on various topics in different branches of Engineering Science.For the convenience of the students the reference volume and curriculum books are stored in a good numbers.The reading room subscribes a number of National and International journals as well.Apart from the curriculum books the library also issues a good number of compact disks consisting of digital and technical knowledge.The functioning of the library is smoothly run by the well experienced Librarian and the energetic assistants. All the members of staff and students of the college are entitled to use the library.
