A double bar graph is a visual representation of data that uses two parallel bars of varying heights. You can arrange the bars either vertically or horizontally. A double bar graph can be used to contrast two sets of data to visually compare and contrast between different sets of data using the double bar graph template. A double bar graph is made in the same way that a single bar graph is made except that instead of one bar of data there will be two bars of data. Here are the steps involved: (i) Draw in the two axes. One with items being counted ( x axis) and one with the scale that is going to be used to count (y axis). (ii) Decide on the best scale to use given the data. (iii) Draw in the bars to show the data. (iv) Draw one category in one colour and the other category in another colour. Hence, the double bar graph for the given data is drawn and shown below.

Construct a △ A B C in which B C = 12 . 5 cm , ∠ B = 70 ∘ and ∠ C = 40 ∘ .

The angles to be constructed are 70 ∘ and 40 ° . We cannot construct these angles using a compass. Hence, we have to use a protractor to construct the angles. Steps of construction: (i) Draw a line segment B C of length 12 . 5 cm . (ii) Using the point B as the vertex, draw angle 70 ° using a protractor. Let the line making the angle be B X → . (iii) Using the point C as the vertex. draw angle 40 ° using a protractor. Let the line making the angle be C Y → (iv) The lines B X → and C Y → intersect at the point A . Then, △ A B C is the required triangle with the given dimensions.
