If there is less rainfall, it may cause droughts. During this period, it is very difficult to get food and fodder, drinking water is scarce. People need to travel long distances to collect water. Soil becomes dry, agriculture and cultivation becomes difficult.

On the other hand, too much rainfall can have numerous effects on human life as well as plants and animals. Heavy rainfall leads to floods, which causes loss of crops and livestock, landslides, disrupt transport and communications, also causes damage to buildings and infrastructure, etc. When the soil can no longer absorb any more rain, the rainwater washes across the ground, carrying loose soil with it.
