BAMS Counselling 2022: Check Dates, Procedure

BAMS counselling 2022: The Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) is a five-year undergraduate course offered by various colleges in India. The admission of candidates takes place in this course through BAMS 2022 counselling. The authorities will conduct the counselling round of BAMS 2022 on the basis of the candidate’s score in NEET 2022. The candidates who will score above the cutoff marks will be able to attend the counselling round. 

Candidates can apply for the BAMS counselling in July 2022. The CCH ministry of Ayush, Government of India, regulates the entrance examination. BAMS counselling will begin in September 2022. The counselling of BAMS 2022 will be conducted in two rounds by the authorities. The counselling round of BAMS 2022 will be followed by the registration, submission of choice, seat allotment, reporting at the allotted centres, and final admission. BAMS Counselling 2022: Stages 

There are six stages followed in the counselling round of BAMS for the 2022 session. The stages of BAMS 2022 counselling areas are provided below for the candidates seeking admission in the BAMS course in the 2022 session.

BAMS Counselling 2022: Registration

The eligible candidates who will be shortlisted after the issue of the BAMS 2022 cutoff as per the NEET score will be able to appear in the counselling round of BAMS. The candidates will have to provide the basic details in the BAMS 2022 counselling registration. After completing the registration of BAMS counselling 2022, the registration number and password of the candidate will be created on the official portal of AACCC.  

BAMS Counselling 2022: Submission of Choices

After completing the registration of BAMS 2022 counselling, the candidates will get the option to fill the choice of preferred course and college to which they want admission. The choices will be filled only from the given options on the official portal of BAMS. The final allotment of the BAMS course and preferred college will be subject to the discretion of the exam conducting body.

BAMS Counselling 2022: View Indicative Seat Allotment

After filling the choice on the official portal of BAMS counselling 2022, the availability of seats will be indicated as per the choice of college filled by the candidates. If the seats are available in the preferred college as per the BAMS 2022 counselling, then the candidates will be able to finalise those options.

BAMS Counselling 2022: Modify & Lock Choices

The option to modify the list of colleges will also be available before locking the final choice. If the total number of seats available is less than the total choice filled by the applicants, then the allotment will be done on the basis of the NEET 2022 exam score. After submitting the final list of preferred colleges and locking the options, the candidates will not be able to change their preferences.  The final allotment will be made on the options locked by the candidates.

BAMS Counselling 2022: Seat Allotment 

After locking the seats in the first round of BAMS 2022 counselling, the candidates will be allotted seats. The seat allotment will be made as per the choice filled by the candidates in the counselling round of BAMS 2022. The candidates to whom the seats will not be allotted in the first round of BAMS 2022 counselling will be able to participate in the second round of counselling. The counselling authorities will allow the re-allotment of seats to the candidates who again wish to appear in counselling after the first allotment. Provided, they will have to register for the counselling again in a fresh mode.

BAMS Counselling 2022: Report at the Allotted Institute

The candidates who will be allotted the seats as per their preference in the BAMS 2022 counselling rounds will have to report to the allotted colleges within the specified period. The reporting will be done at the participating colleges for the admission of the candidates in the BAMS course. The admission will be provided to all the candidates who will successfully clear the counselling round of the BAMS course. To confirm the BAMS 2022 admission, the candidates must submit the requisite fees at the allotted college. 

BAMS Counselling 2022: Round 2 Eligibility 

The BAMS counselling will also be conducted in two rounds as per the past year’s counselling trends. The admissions will be provided for the remaining vacant seats in the second round of BAMS 2022 counselling. The types of candidates who will be eligible for the BAMS 2022 counselling are as follows:

  1. Those candidates who have taken admission through 1st round seat allotment but still have applied to appear for BAMS 2022 second counselling round.
  2. The candidates to whom the seats were not allotted in the first round of BAMS counselling. 
  3. Candidates who have not reported for admission get after getting the seat allotted in the first round. 

BAMS Counselling 2022: Mop Up Round 

The exam conducting body will schedule the Mop-Up round in case there are vacant seats after the second round of seat allotment. The Mop-Up round of BAMS 2022 counselling will be different from other counselling rounds as the seat allotment and admission will be done simultaneously in the Mop-Up counselling round of BAMS 2022. The cutoff percentile of NEET 2022 may also be revised for the Mop-Up round if there is a good number of vacant seats after BAMS 2022 counselling in the participating colleges.

The minimum cutoff percentile required for the BAMS 2022 counselling is as provided below.

BAMS Counselling 2022: Documents Required for Verification

All the candidates who clear the NEET 2022 will be required to provide the list of necessary documents at the BAMS 2022 counselling round. The candidates will be allotted seats in the preferred colleges as per their choice. The candidates will have to provide the set of original documents and a set of photocopies for the BAMS 2022 counselling. The following documents will be required for verification at the counselling round of BAMS 2022 is as given below: 

  1. Class 10th mark sheet and passing certificate
  2. Class 12th mark sheet and passing certificate
  3. Date of birth proof certificate 
  4. The diploma mark sheet and certificate 
  5. Four passport-size photos of the candidate 
  6. NEET 2022 Rank Card 
  7. NEET 2022 admit card 
  8. Income Certificate (only for the candidates claiming scholarship)
  9. Last educational institute Leaving Certificate / Transfer Certificate
  10. Migration Certificate (if applicable)
  11. Registration ID of BAMS 2022 counselling 
  12. Print out of BAMS 2022 application form 
  13. Reserved category certificate (only for the SC, ST, or OBC category candidates)

Q.1: From where and how will I get the information about the counselling schedule for BAMS admission 2022?
Ans: The shortlisted candidates, as per the cutoff score list, will receive the notification of the BAMS 2022 counselling schedule on their registered email address, and the counselling schedule will also be published on the official website of NTA along with the cutoff score of NEET 2022.

Q.2: When will the counselling of BAMS 2022 be scheduled as per the exam conducting body of NEET 2022?
Ans: The scheduled counselling dates of BAMS 2022 will be published on the official website AACCC. The candidates will have to appear in the counselling round of BAMS 2022 as per their score in the NEET exam.

Q.3:  What is the process to get admission to the BAMS course 2022? 
Ans:
To get admission to the BAMS course for the 2022 session, the candidates must have cleared the NEET with a valid score. The minimum required eligibility for NEET is a senior secondary exam with a minimum of forty-five to fifty per cent marks.

The candidates who fail to meet the NEET cutoff score will not be given a chance to attend the BAMS 2022 counselling rounds and will not be given admission to the participating institutes.
