Earlier, the CAT 2023 hall ticket was supposed to be uploaded on October 25, 2203; however, with the revision, candidates can now download their CAT hall tickets online from November 7, 2023. How To Download CAT Admit Card 2023?

Candidates can view and download the CAT exam hall ticket from the official website. The exam conducting body will not send hard copies of the admit cards to any individual candidate. In order to download the hall ticket, follow the steps below:

  • 1st Step: Visit the official website: iimcat.ac.in.
  • 2nd Step: Click on the “Login” button under the ‘Registered Candidate Login’ option.
  • 3rd Step: On the next page, enter the User ID and Password.
  • 4th Step: Click on the “Login” button.

  • 6th Step: Now, click on the link provided to download the admit card.

  • If candidates lose the email or SMS after completing the application form, they can retrieve the same by following the small below procedure:
    • Click on the User ID & Password tab in the CAT login window
    • Enter the registered email address in the tab.
    • Click on the “Get user ID & Password” tab.
    • The user ID & password will again be sent to the candidate’s registered email address.
  • The candidate must sign in again using a new user ID or password and keep that safe for future use.

2- Slow Internet Connection

Candidates must ensure that they have a strong internet connection when downloading their admit cards. A slow internet connection can make it difficult for candidates to download the admit card. The good speed of the internet will help the candidates to download CAT hall tickets easily.

Candidates must use Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome to download CAT admit card. If the candidate faces any difficulty in downloading from the browser, then the candidate should clear the history and cache and refresh the page. Apart from last year’s trends, IIM Ahmedabad has brought some changes to the CAT exam. The admit card will contain the following changes brought along with additional instructions in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic includes:

  • Candidates will not be able to map the application number and lab number as this will not be displayed outside the test centre. An instructor will provide all these details to the candidate at the time of entry to the test venue post the verification procedure.
  • Candidate should bring own mask, gloves, personal hand sanitiser, transparent bottle, 2 simple pends and exam-related documents.
  • Shoes or footwear with thick soles are not allowed.
  • Aspirants must avoid wearing clothes with large buttons.
  • Candidates should report to the exam centre at least 90 minutes before the exam.
  • Social distancing must be followed.
  • Candidates with fever, cough, and cold symptoms will not be allowed to sit in a separate isolation lab.
  • Aspirants will have to sign the declaration and show the same to the centre staff at the hall entry.

Here are a few instructions that candidates must follow on exam day:

  • The printout of the admit card should be clear and legible. The candidate’s photograph and signature must be clearly printed.
  • Candidates must make necessary arrangements for travel, food, accommodation, and any other expenses before the exam day.
  • The candidates must verify and carry their original ID proof and the printed CAT hall ticket before leaving for the test centre.
  • They must affix their photographs uploaded during the application process in the space provided on the admit card.
  • Candidates must reach the test centre at the reporting time. Entry to the exam centre closes at 8:15 AM for the forenoon session, 12:15 PM for the afternoon session, and 4:15 PM for the evening session.
  • Maintain a queue during test centre entry, temperature checking using Thermo Gun, document verification, IRIS & Photo capture, and exiting the centre.
  • Centre staff will scan the barcode printed on the admit card at the scanning desk and tell the location of the exam lab.
  • Candidates must provide their signatures on the attendance sheet.
  • The staff will provide one pen and one scribble pad to candidates. Candidates need to drop the same (with all pages intact) in the boxes provided after the exam completion.

The following should be avoided by candidates:

  • Candidates must not appear for the exam more than once. Doing so will lead to the cancellation of the candidature.
  • They must not request entry to the test centre after the reporting time is over.
  • Any candidate must not carry prohibited items such as mobile phones, electronic gadgets, watches, calculators, own stationery items, pens, wallets, and goggles inside the exam lab.
  • Candidates must not attempt to cheat or copy answers from others during the exam.
  • Taking a bio-break inside the exam lab is prohibited unless it is a medical emergency.
  • Candidates must not wear any jewellery (or metal items), shoes/ footwear with thick soles, and garments with large buttons inside the test centre.
  • Candidates should not waste Scribble Pad pages as only one pad will be provided. Furthermore, they must not carry any pages from the Scribble Pad outside the exam centre after the test.
