October Revolution, also known as the Bolshevik Revolution was the second and the last major phase of the Russian Revolution. Post this revolution, the Bolsheviks seized power from the Mensheviks who were heading the Provisional government of Russia. After the coup, the Bolsheviks inaugurated the Soviet Regime. This soviet regime brought a few changes in Russian society. These are as follows:

New urban-industrial regions appeared quickly in Western Russia. New industries and new societies paved way for more employment and a rise in the standard of living for the people around Moscow.

The cities drew a huge flux of people into it, and the standard of education went upwards. The Russians were now trying to mimic the west to have a better education and more sophisticated work.

The land was declared a social property, allowing the peasants to seize it from the nobility, also, the aristocratic titles were taken away, laying the base of equality in the society.

With all the progress, the economy of Russia still went down, and hence the people in the rural areas kept their rural style of living.
