We have given $A, B$ and $C$ are three particles of a medium that are equally separated and lie along the X-axis and wavelength $λ$ Propagates along the X-axis, and the velocity of $A$ and $C$ are the same whereas $A$ and $B$ have the same speed.

Minimum distance between $A$ and $B$ = $\frac{λ}{2}$

Minimum distance between $A$ and $C$ is $\frac{λ}{2} + \frac{λ}{2} = λ$

Hence, the minimum distance between $A$ and $C$ is $λ$ .
