About Exam

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) will conduct IBPS PO Mains 2022 in order to select candidates for Probationary Officer positions in different public sector banks across India. In 2011, IBPS began the Common Recruitment Process (CRP) for recruiting officers and clerks in Indian banks, accepting online applications via its website. It conducts recruitment examinations for all Public Sector Banks except the SBI.

There are two stages in the IBPS PO exam: Prelims and Mains. Shortlisted candidates who clear the cut-off marks in the Mains examination will be called for a personal interview. IBPS PO Mains examination does not require an application process to be filled out separately. Candidates will fill out the application once during IBPS PO Prelims examination. The application form is released only via online mode on the official website. Candidates can follow the steps below to fill out the IBPS PO online application form

1st Step: Go to the official website –www.ibps.in.

2nd Step: On the homepage, click on the link ‘Click here to apply Online for CRP PO/MT XI’ (Not yet released).

3rd Step: It will direct to a new page. Click on the button ‘Click here for New Registration’.

4th Step: Read the instructions on the page and click on the ‘Continue’ button.

5th Step: Enter the basic details such as Name, Mobile Number, Email ID, etc. Click on ‘Save & Next'.

6th Step: Registration number and password will be generated. The details will be sent to the candidate’s email ID and registered phone number. 

7th Step: Log in with your registration number and password. Upload the scanned copy of passport size photo, signature, left thumb impression, and a handwritten declaration as per the prescribed standards.

8th Step: Fill up the application form with personal details and educational details.

9th Step: Upload the documents as per requirement and save the details.

10th Step: Click on the online fee payment link and complete the transaction through a Debit/ Credit card or Net Banking.

11th Step: Cross-check all the details before final submission and make necessary changes if required.

12th Step: Download and take the printout for further reference.

IBPS PO Fee Payment Process

IBPS PO application process will be completed only after the successful payment of the application fee. If the application fee is not acknowledged, the process will be considered incomplete. The payment of the application fee is made online only.

  1. Fill out the application form for IBPS PO and click on the 'Make Payment' option.
  2. It will direct to a new page with options for payment methods like Credit/ Debit Card, Net Banking etc. Choose the payment mode as per your convenience.
  3. Enter all the mandatory fields and make the payment. Wait patiently till the process completes, and do not refresh the page.
  4. A payment acknowledgement will be generated. Take a printout of the same for further references.
  5. Note: If you do not receive the acknowledgement, you will have to repeat the payment process.

IBPS PO Application Process 2022: Important Guidelines

Here are important guidelines for the IBPS PO application process:

  1. Provide correct information in all the mandatory fields of the application form. The correction window will not be available after the final submission of the application form.
  2. Choose the bank for which you want to apply from the participating banks, and fill in the relevant information during the application process only. This information must be filled in during the application process only.
  3. Candidates can also choose the pre-exam training while filling out the application form.
  4. To successfully complete the application form, candidates must fill all the mandatory fields correctly, upload all the required documents, and make the online application payment.
  5. Candidates have to save their registration number and password for future references.
  6. Upload a recent passport size photo with a light blue coloured background.
  7. The signature of the applicant must be scanned and uploaded.
  8. Candidates must upload the scanned copy of their left thumb impression. Applications without a clear thumb impression will be rejected.
  9. The self-declaration form must be handwritten in English only.
  10. A separate admit card will be generated for each stage, i.e. pre-exam training, mains and interview process as per the exam schedule.
  11. The candidate’s signature during the time of the exam must match the signature on the application form. Otherwise, the candidate will not be allowed to appear for the examination.

IBPS PO Mains Eligibility Criteria

All candidates must meet the minimum eligibility criteria to complete the application form. All the aspects of the IBPS PO eligibility criteria for 2022 recruitment are released in the detailed IBPS PO notification on an annual basis.

IBPS PO Educational Qualification

Applicants should have a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognised university or any equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government. The candidate must have a valid marksheet / degree certificate certifying that they are a graduate, and it should mention the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation.

IBPS PO Nationality

Candidates applying for the exam must be any of the following:

  1. An Indian citizen
  2. Citizen of Nepal 
  3. Citizen of Bhutan 
  4. Tibetan refugee who has come to India before January 01, 1952
  5. A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Zambia, Burma, Vietnam, Zaire, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania or Sri Lanka with the intention of permanent settlement in India. 

Candidates other than Indian citizens must submit an eligibility certificate issued by the Indian Government. Candidates who claim to have migrated to India without the eligibility certificate will not be considered for further process.
