NEET Study Plan to Maximise Score

Cut off

Students preparing for the NEET 2022 exam should refer to the best preparation tips to secure a good rank in the NEET exam.

NEET Preparation Tips 2022

Preparation tips for NEET 2022 are as follows:

  • Preparation Tips for Physics: NEET Physics is considered to be one of the most difficult subjects by candidates, but the section includes a lot of numerical problems that can be solved in less time if the concepts are clearly understood.

The syllabus is lengthy, but dividing it into small portions can help candidates achieve results in a systematic manner. It is advised that students should focus on the most important chapters first, such as Mechanics, Thermodynamics and Modern Physics, and then move on to other topics which are comparatively easy.

  • Preparation Tips for Chemistry: NEET Chemistry is broadly divided into three sections - Organic, Inorganic, and Physical Chemistry. While Organic Chemistry deals with compounds and their molecular structure, IUPAC nomenclature, and reactions, Inorganic Chemistry focuses on the Periodic Table and the different physical and chemical properties of the respective elements.

Physical Chemistry deals with several numerical problems and derivations that are based on mathematical functions. Thus, students should focus on the topics they are most comfortable with first, and then work their way towards completing the entire syllabus.

  • Preparation Tips for Biology: NEET Biology is based on theories and detailed description of various physiological aspects of plants and animals. For Biology, preparing small notes of important terms and definitions is recommended as it helps in revision.

Moreover, self-prepared notes help in registering the information in the mind in a more efficient manner as compared to just learning and practising. Mock tests are also important as they help in analysing the important topics and weightage from exam point of view.

Important Tips for NEET 2022

The best way to prepare for NEET 2022 is to summarise the main points first while studying each chapter, and then focus on the important and high-scoring topics in detail later. Practice and revision of topics simultaneously are also essential.

With modernisation, school and college studies alone are not sufficient to qualify for any competitive exams. Considering the increasingly competitive nature of the NEET exam, studying in school is not enough. A well-planned self-study goes a long way in helping a candidate clear the NEET 2022 exam with a good rank.

  • Summarising the content of each topic, being able to recognise the scoring topics and ones from which questions are asked the most in the exams is one of the best strategies to perform to the best abilities in the exams.
  • Time division for each section is essential in solving the complete paper within the given time limit. The candidate should be proficient in using the shortcut tricks, wherever possible, to save time.
  • A positive attitude is the key to success in any academic or professional exams.
  • Going through previous years' papers within the given time limit helps us evaluate ourselves.
  • Candidates should always attempt to arrive at the examination center before time, so they have time to relax and focus on the upcoming examination.
  • It is a pen-paper test; hence, the OMR sheet should be carefully filled with all the information, and options should be correctly marked.
  • Before solving the paper, one must read the instructions carefully to avoid unnecessary obstacles later.
  • Since there is a negative marking pattern for the NEET examination, the candidate must attempt only those questions in which they feel confident.
  • Studying with proper techniques and approaches is also important, along with the hard work of the aspirants. Students often supplement their learning with NEET e-learning classes that focus on the primary goal of cracking NEET examinations, thus taking the tedious work of making notes out of the picture.

NEET 2022 Study Plan

The NEET-UG 2022 exam will focus on Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, which constitutes a huge syllabus. It is a daunting task to cover the entire syllabus within a strict time frame and students often wonder about the best study schedule for improving their chances of qualifying for the NEET exam.

With the help of the right planning and setting smart and achievable goals, it is possible to crack the exam and obtain a good rank as well.

It is not necessary that everyone starts the preparation for NEET UG 2022 on the same day/date; hence, we have compiled study plans for different durations keeping in mind the syllabus, number of chapters per subject, and ideal study time per day.

Students can take reference to plan their own schedule and work accordingly.

NEET Exam Counselling 2022

Similar Exam

NEET UG 2022 counselling will commence once the NEET 2022 results are declared. Like every year, the MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) will conduct the counselling on 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats, and the respective state authorities shall carry out counselling for filling the remaining 85% Stage Quota seats in state medical colleges.

The counselling for NEET UG 2022 will be conducted online, and qualifying candidates can register for the counselling rounds as soon as the results are out. The qualifying candidates can then block seats in the colleges of their choice after completing the document verification process.

NEET Counselling Process

There are 4 stages of the NEET counselling process:

  • Registration
  • Fee Payment
  • Choice Entry Locking
  • Seat Allotment

NEET Counselling Registration

Candidates are required to follow the below steps to register for NEET counselling registration:

  • 1. Go to the official MCC website.
    2. Find and click on ‘New Registration’. Enter all their respective details as mentioned above (Roll number, Application number, Candidate’s Name, Mother’s Name, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, Email ID, and Security Pin as mentioned in admit card).
    3. Once they enter all the required information, candidates will get a new roll number and password. They should keep this information safe as they will need the new roll number and password to register for NEET counselling.
    4. Candidates should click on ‘Candidate login’ on the MCC website homepage and enter their roll numbers and passwords.
    5. Enter the details asked on the new page and click on ‘Submit’.
    6. Carefully go through all the information on the page, and verify that it is correct. Once they are sure, they should click on ‘Confirm Registration’, and a Registration Slip will be generated. Candidates should save this page as proof of completing registration.

NEET Counselling Fee Payment

Candidates need to pay a counselling fee to complete the counselling registration process. The candidates will have to pay two types of counselling fees: the non-refundable fee and the refundable fee, which will be adjusted against the candidate’s tuition. The counselling fee can be paid through an online medium like Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking. Find the details of the NEET NTA  counselling fee in the table below:
