According to the guidelines provided by the Government of India, the State Bank of India may arrange pre-examination training for SC/ST/Religious Minority Community candidates at specific locations. So, for SC/ST/XS/Religious Minority Community candidates, Pre Exam Training (PET or PRT) will be conducted before SBI PO Exam 2022-23.

Penalty for wrong answers: For each question attempted incorrectly, a candidate will be deducted 0.25 points. If a candidate leaves a question unanswered or blank, no marks will be deducted.

The tentative SBI PO Prelims exam date will be announced soon on the official website. Candidates are advised to keep a careful eye on the website to stay up to date on any announcements regarding the examination.
Officials will issue the SBI PO Main test date along with the official recruitment announcement PDF. The SBI PO 2022 main exam consists of a 200-marks objective examination and a 50-marks descriptive test. Both the objective and descriptive papers will be completed at the same time, with no breaks in between. We will post the exam dates below as soon as the schedule is released.
Qualified candidates will be notified of SBI PO 2022 interview schedule through SMS or email. The list of qualifying candidates for the Interview will be released on the official website as soon as the conducting body releases the SBI PO Main exam result. Officials will conduct Group Exercises and Interviews, and SBI will provide full information to eligible candidates. Group exercises will be worth 20 marks, and the interview will be worth 30 marks.

Note
Percentage Marks: The percentage marks are calculated by dividing the candidate's total marks into all subjects in all semester(s)/ year(s) by the aggregate maximum marks in all subjects, irrespective of Honours/optional/extra optional subject if any.
This will apply to well-known universities where the class/grade is determined purely on the basis of honours marks. The percentage will be ignored, therefore 59.99% will be considered less than 60%, and 54.99% will be considered less than 55%.
Reservation for Persons with Disability (PWD)
Persons with Benchmark Disabilities are entitled to a 4% horizontal reservation under Section 34 of the “Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016”. Persons with the following disabilities, as described in the Schedule of the RPWD Act 2016, are eligible for this position:

B. Visual Impairment (VI)
Only those Visually Impaired (VI) individuals who, after best correction, suffer from any of the following conditions are eligible to apply.
Blindness
The complete absence of sight

Visual acuity less than 3/60 or less than 10/200 (Snellen) in the better eye with the best possible correction
OR
The field of vision is limited to an angle of fewer than 10 degrees.
Low Vision
Visual acuity in the better eye of not more than 6/18 or less than 20/60 up to 3/60 or up to 10/200 (Snellen) with the best possible corrections
OR
Field of vision limitations ranging from fewer than 40 degrees to 10 degrees.
Hearing Impaired (HI):
Only those Hearing Impaired (HI) people who suffer from any of the conditions listed below are eligible to apply after receiving the best possible treatment.
"Benchmark disability" refers to a person who has at least 40% of a specified disability that has not been defined in measurable terms, as well as people who have disabilities that have been described in measurable terms and certified by the certifying body.
A person seeking reservation must present a disability certificate obtained by a Competent Authority in accordance with Government of India standards. Such certifications will be subject to verification/re-verification as the competent authority determines.
For each category, the maximum number of attempts is decided. Candidates who have used all of their attempts are ineligible to apply. An attempt is not counted if you participate in the preliminary exam, but it is counted if you appear in the SBI PO Mains exam.

Only those candidates who did not have the local language as a subject in their 10th or 12th board exams are eligible to take the Language Proficiency Test. It is the last round of the exam, and it is used to determine whether or not the candidate is fluent in the local language.

Q.6: Is there Negative Marking in SBI PO Exam?
Ans: Yes, in the objective examinations of the SBI PO Preliminary and Main Exams, there is a negative marking for incorrect answers. For marking a wrong answer, one-fourth of the total marks given for that question will be deducted.
Q.7: Is the SBI PO Exam Bilingual?
Ans: All of the examinations, with the exception of the Descriptive Test for the English Language, are bilingual, meaning they are available in both English and Hindi.

Before joining as a Probationary Officer, candidates who are shortlisted for SBI PO posts must complete training in basic banking knowledge. According to the pay scale notification, the starting basic pay for a Probationary Officer (PO) in the Junior Management Grade Scale-I is Rs 41,960/- (with four advance increments) on a scale of 36000-1490/7-46430-1740/2-49910-1990/7-63840.
In addition, the PO will be eligible for D.A., H.R.A./Lease rental, C.C.A., Medical, and other allowances and perquisites as determined by the rules in effect at the time. The annual total salary on a CTC basis will range between 8.20 lacs and 13.08 lacs, depending on the location of the posting and other considerations.
