  • The candidates clearing the cut-off for the Prelims exam are called for the second phase of the exam.
  • There is no condition of minimum qualifying marks for the individual subject as well as for the aggregate (overall) score.

SBI Clerk Prelims 2022 Preparation Tips

Study Plan to Maximise Score

SBI Clerk Prelims 2022 Preparation Tips

To crack any examination, a detailed study plan and a preparation strategy are a must. It is important that you know your strengths and then strategise your preparation accordingly. For example, let us assume that you have a great command over the Reasoning and Quant Section, but your GA and English are weak. Then you should try maximising your score in these two sections and try to clear the cut-off. For detailed SBI Clerk, exam preparation tips, keep reading the article.

SBI Clerk Prelims Exam 2022: Preparation Tips for English Language Section

  • Categorize your preparation for the English Language Section into two different categories. If your base is strong, then you can devote less time to the preparation. But if your basics are weak, you will have to prepare yourself accordingly.
  • If your basics are clear and strong, scoring high in this section becomes easy. If such is the case, you should spend less time on this and focus more on practising as many different questions as possible.
  • If your basics are weak, keep reading the newspaper or magazines every day, and take mock tests ardently.
  • Analyse your mock tests, figure out your weak and strong areas, and work accordingly.

SBI Clerk Prelims Exam 2022: Preparation Tips for Reasoning Ability

  • The Reasoning section is the most vital section. The largest part of the Reasoning section is covered by puzzles and seating arrangements.
  • These questions can get very challenging. Now, what should you do if you are amongst those who find it difficult to solve such questions? The solution to this is quite simple but difficult to implement. If you do not have a good command over the puzzles and arrangement questions, everything apart from it needs to be prepared thoroughly so that you don’t lose even a single mark.
  • Please know that tricks and shortcuts are not going to be helpful in solving the Reasoning section, only practice will be of use.
  • If you’re someone who does not enjoy solving puzzles and arrangements, try focusing on the “miscellaneous” section.
  • Practise miscellaneous questions like Inequalities, Direction Sense, Input-Output, Syllogisms, Direction Sense, Data Sufficiency, Coding-decoding, Ranking and Order, Assumptions, Conclusions, Effect, and Cause, etc.
  • For syllogisms, you can choose the good old Venn Diagram method or the A, E, I, O rules.
  • Computer Aptitude - Don’t worry much about computer awareness as it will consist mostly of questions that are logical in nature or based on flowcharts and diagrams.

SBI Clerk Prelims 2022 Exam: Preparation Tips for Quantitative Aptitude

  • Do not attempt to cram by studying the entire syllabus. Follow the "Quality Over Quantity" rule
  • You'll need to work on your speed and accuracy to do well in this section.
  • Go over the fundamental concepts first, then attempt questions on topics you've studied.
  • Devote yourself to each topic and answer as many questions as you can.
  • While adhering to the guidelines mentioned above, make an effort to answer at least 50 questions per day.
  • Begin taking mock exams as soon as you feel you have covered a sufficient amount of the syllabus. Determine your areas of weakness and retry those topics.
  • Mock tests will also assist you in developing a timing strategy.

SBI Clerk Prelims 2022 Exam Taking Strategy

  • Read instructions above the questions carefully.
  • Do not start attempting the questions before going through all the instructions properly.
  • Generally, the pattern or concepts of the questions do not change this exam. But you may find the changes in the way to answer the questions as per the given instructions.
  • For example, in the syllogism section, if the instruction says, 'select the conclusion which does NOT follow the statements' and you missed the 'Not' in this instruction, then all of your efforts to solve the syllogism questions will go in vain.

SBI Clerk Prelims 2022 Detailed Study Plan

A student needs an appropriate strategy, plan, and guidance to clear any exam. This plan is specially designed by experts who have successfully cracked exams for the SBI, LIC, IBPS, and other Public Sector Banks. Since you have enough mock tests, we suggest you start practising as per the30-day plan for prelims, as given in the link.
