About Exam

CTET is a national eligibility test administered by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The CTET exam is held twice a year for the purpose of evaluating a candidate's eligibility for appointment as a teacher for Classes 1 to 8 in Central Government Schools like KVS, NVS, etc. Candidates who want to teach Classes 6 to 8 should take CTET Paper 2. 

They must take both exams if they want to teach Classes 1 to 8. For CTET 2022, a short notice has been released on July 14, 2022. The CTET 2022 notification will be released soon on its official website - ctet.nic.in. Moreover, the CTET 2022 exam will be conducted in December 2022. CTET Paper 2 Eligibility Criteria 2022

Only those with permanent Indian citizenship are eligible to apply. The subjects of Bhutan and Nepal are also eligible for the exam. To apply for the CBSE CTET Exam 2022, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria mentioned in the below section.

Revised CTET Eligibility Criteria 2022

The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has issued a notification outlining the updated CTET eligibility criteria for individuals pursuing Teacher Training Courses (TTC). CTET Age Criteria

The applicants must be at least 17 years old. There is no maximum age.

CTET Paper 2 Education Qualification

Candidates for this post must be graduates who have passed or are actively preparing for the final year exam of a 2-year Elementary Education Diploma.


Candidates must have received at least a 50% grade in their graduation. They must also have completed or be enrolled in a one-year Bachelor of Education program (B.Ed).


They must have received at least 45% in their graduation and have passed or are currently enrolled in a one-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) program in compliance with NCTE regulations.


They must have received at least 50% in Senior Secondary and have passed or are actively preparing for the final year exam of a four-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) program.


Aspirants must have completed or been presently enrolled in a 4-year BA/BSc.Ed or BA.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.Ed course and have passed or been currently enrolled in a Senior Secondary or equivalent exam with at least 50% marks.


Candidates must have received at least 50% in their graduation and have passed or been currently enrolled in a 1-year B.Ed (Special Education) program.

Note: This applies to applicants who have earned a Bachelor of Education credential from an NCTE-accredited institution.

CTET Number of Attempts

  • To get a CTET Certificate, candidates can take CTET as many times as they desire.
  • There is no limit to how many times you can take the test.
  • Furthermore, candidates who have qualified for the exam may retake it in order to improve their scores.

About Exam

The CTET Admit Card 2022 will be made available at least 10 to 15 days before the exam. Candidates who are interested in applying for CTET 2022 must first obtain their hall ticket from the official website. Follow the given steps to download their CTET Admit Card:

  • Visit the CTET's official website, ctet.nic.in.
  • On the homepage, there is a link to download the CTET 2022 admit card.
  • Then, using the registration number (provided during the application process) and date of birth, click on the link to download the hall ticket.
