The Uttar Pradesh Teaching Eligibility Test (UPTET) is a State Eligibility Test conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) to find suitable candidates for various teaching positions at various Government and Government-aided schools throughout the state. The exam is held once a year to recruit eligible teachers for the primary (Classes 1 to 5) and upper primary (Classes 6 to 8) classes.
UPTET is conducted in two shifts for two papers – Paper 1 and 2. UPTET Paper 1 is for candidates who plan to become teachers of Classes 1 to 5. While Paper 2 is for candidates who plan to become teachers of Classes 6 to 8. Candidates who want to be teachers of Classes 1-8 need to appear in both papers. There is no such limit to the number of attempts for the UPTET 2022 Exam. Candidates within the age limit can apply multiple times (if eligible).

Candidates need to keep a valid mobile number, email id, passport-size photograph, signature, and other essential documents while applying for UPTET.

The UPTET exam 2022 comprises of two papers (Paper 1 and Paper 2). Both the question paper consists of 150 objective-type questions (MCQs). One mark will be awarded for every correct answer and there is no negative marking in the UPTET exam. The duration of the exam is 2 hours and 30 minutes.
