The Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) is a state-level engineering entrance exam conducted by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB). Through GUJCET, candidates seek admission to Engineering & Technology (B.Tech./B.E.) and Pharmacy (diploma/degree) courses. The undergraduate engineering courses are offered by various government and non-government institutions within the state of Gujarat.
GUJCET 2022 exam was conducted on April 18. The exam was held in all districts of Gujarat in two shifts from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM in offline mode as a Pen-Paper based test. GUJCET 2021 Question Paper Analysis -Shift 1 (Physics & Chemistry), 10 AM- 12 PM
As per the feedback from students, the GUJCET question paper for 2021 was moderately difficult. Questions were covered from all the topics of class 11 and 12. There were no questions picked from the syllabus that was reduced in 2021. Physics was a bit difficult and lengthy compared to Chemistry, where the Physics section had more percentage of class 12 topics.

GUJCET Counselling Procedure
Candidates who qualify the GUJCET exam will have to register and participate in the counselling AND seat allotment rounds, which will be conducted online. The various stages of GUJCET counselling are mentioned below.
Registration: Candidates who qualify the GUJCET exam have to register for the counselling and seat allotment rounds. For this, they have to visit the official website to fill the GUJCET counselling application form. Here, eligible candidates have to enter their basic personal details like name, father’s name, email and mobile number.
Filling of Application Form: After registration, candidates are required to fill the application form. Here, they need to enter their academic, GUJCET/JEE Main application number and other details.
Documents Upload: After filling the GUJCET counselling application form, candidates have to upload the following documents (whichever applicable).
Merit List Release: The authorities release the GUJCET provisional merit list of all registered candidates. The list is prepared on the basis of marks scored in GUJCET/JEE Main.
Choice Filling and Locking: After this, applicants have to log in using their login credentials. Before filling the choice, candidates have to check course-wise, category-wise & institute-wise seats, displayed on the dashboard. If a candidate does not lock the choices, then all the choices will be locked by default on the last day of the GUJCET choice filling & locking process.
Allotment of Seats: After the choice filling procedure ends, the authorities will announce the GUJCET seat allotment results. Candidates will be able to check the GUJCET seat allotment result by logging onto their Candidate Portal using their valid credentials. Two rounds of allotment along with a second extended round and a special round will be announced.
The candidates who are satisfied with the seat allotment can freeze the seat by paying the seat acceptance fee via online or offline mode. In case a candidate is not satisfied with the allotted seat, they can participate in further rounds of GUJCET counselling and seat allotment.
Reporting at Allotted Institutes: The shortlisted candidates have to finish the admission process by reporting at the allotted GUJCET participating institutes. Here applicants will have to produce their documents. Candidates will be required to show proof of payment, GUJCET/JEE scorecard, seat allotment letter, and other documents.

Candidates can pay for the GUJCET application form by clicking on the “Pay” button, after logging in to the candidate portal. The payment can be done via online methods, like credit card/ debit card/ internet banking, etc. Application fee can also be paid offline through challan by visiting any branch of SBI. Students are advised to keep a copy of their payment slip till the completion of the admission process.

Step 4: Uploading Signature & Photograph- Candidates are required to upload scanned images of their signature and photograph as per the guidelines mentioned by the Board.
Candidates must keep the dimensions of the scanned images as per the specifications set by the authorities in the brochure.
After uploading a scanned copy of the signature and a recent passport size photograph, candidates can proceed to submit the GUJCET application form. Candidates must recheck all the details before clicking on the “Submit” button.
