The Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) conducts the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) to recruit candidates for primary (1–5) and upper primary (6–8) school teachers. The UP government releases vacancies for primary and upper primary government school teachers for UPTET-qualified candidates. The UPTET vacancy for 2023 is yet to be released.
