RBI Assistant Mains: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) conducts the RBI Assistant exam every year to recruit candidates for the post of Assistant in multiple branches across the country. RBI has released the RBI Assistant 2022 notification for 950 vacancies via the official website - rbi.org.in on February 15, 2022. The RBI Assistant application process has commenced on February 17, 2022, and will continue till March 8, 2022. 

RBI Assistant Mains exam date is announced for March 26 & 27, 2022. However, the Prelims exam date and admit card release details are not out yet. Things to keep in mind while preparing for RBI Assistant Mains:

  • The candidates are advised to analyse the mock test completely and plan the preparation accordingly. 
  • Regularly reading Banking Awareness, General and Financial details to stay updated with the current information.

  • Computer awareness is an important part of the exam. The candidates need to follow their schedule to cover up all the topics.

The candidates are advised to click on the preview link after filling up the application form completely. It will help them to make sure that they have provided all the information or not. If the candidate needs to make any change in the details, they must go back and make the required changes. Ensure that no changes will be allowed after submitting the final application form for the RBI Assistant Mains examination.

In order to complete the application process, the eligible candidates need to make payment for the application. The candidates can make payment online mode only via credit card, debit card or net banking. No other modes of payment will be accepted. After paying the application form fee, make the final submission.

Guidelines for the Candidates to Fill the RBI Assistant Mains Application Form  

  • The candidates are eligible to apply for the vacancy in one office only and will need to choose for the online test centre within the same state(s)office they applied for. Let’s understand this with one example, suppose the candidate is applying for an Ahmedabad office then they can choose a centre from Gujarat only.
  • The candidates are advised to submit the form online only. They don’t need to send the hard copy or printout of the application form to the exam conducting authority.
  • RBI reserves the right to cancel the candidature anytime if they find any wrong information filled by the candidate or the candidate does not qualify the eligibility criteria.
  • The candidates are advised to keep ready their documents related to the educational qualification, age relaxation and category wise. They will have to submit these documents at the time of the document verification.
  • The candidates who are seeking reservations as OBC need to submit the declaration form in the given format. 
  • The candidates will have to show the original identity proof and submit a copy of the same along with the RBI Assistant Mains examination call letter while attending the exam. If they fail to submit the same, they will not be allowed to appear in the mains examination.
  • If the examination is held in multiple sessions, then the scores across multiple sessions will be equated to adjust for the little differences in the difficulty level of different test batteries used across sessions.
  • The candidates are not allowed to use or have in their possession of calculators or any devices in the examination hall.
  • The candidates are advised to come without bringing any prohibited items like calculators, phones, notes, etc.
  • The candidate's selection to the exam or online test/Language Proficiency Test is strictly provisional. 
  • The candidates are advised to make sure to upload a photo at the place of the picture only and upload the signature image in the specified signature box. If they upload it wrong or misplace it, then their application will be rejected.
  • The candidates who are working in Government owned industrial undertakings, government sectors, financial institutions, public sector undertakings, or other similar organisations, whether they are on a temporary or permanent basis or casual or daily rated employees, are needed to submit their employment application in writing, about applying for this job. Such candidates need to submit the undertaking that they have already informed in writing about applying for this post to their department or HOD. At the time of joining for this recruitment, such candidates will have to submit the proper relieving letters or certificates from their previous employers.
  • The candidature of the already registered candidates is liable to be disqualified at any point of time of recruitment or even after the joining also if any details provided by them is found to be wrong or misleading. Further, such candidates are required to apply online only. 
  • The candidature of the applicants shall be provisional and will be subject to the eligibility verification condition with reference to the original certificates. The selection process and screening will be done on the basis of the details provided by the applicants. Hence, it is important for the candidates to provide the correct information in the online application form for the RBI Assistant Mains exam. Any wrong information provided by the candidate will lead to disqualification from the selection process.

The Reserve Bank of India announced that the RBI Assistant Mains 2022 exam will be conducted in May 2022. RBI Assistant Prelims exam will be conducted on March 26 & 27, 2022. Result Date

The Reserve Bank of India will declare the RBI main exam result on their official website. The result is usually released separately for pre and mains exams. The result of RBI Assistant consists of the roll numbers of the qualified candidates. The candidates who have cleared the prelims exam are eligible for the mains and the interview processes. The candidates will have to qualify for the minimum passing marks or cut-off to clear the mains exam. The final RBI Assistant Result will be declared on the basis of the written exam and language proficiency test.

Dos and Donts of Form Filling

Guidelines for Scanning Photographs

Dos Don’ts
The photograph must be recent passport style Avoid goggles or sunglasses while clicking the picture
Prefer to take pictures against a white background Make sure you don’t have any coloured background
Look into the camera itself Caps and hats are not acceptable.
Religious headwear is allowed but make sure it’s not covering your face.

Guidelines for Signature

Note - The cumulative age relaxation will not be available either under the above or in combination with any other items.

 

  1. Candidates who are seeking the reservation under the OBC, SC or ST category will have to produce the documents in the prescribed format only. The candidates need to also make sure that the name of their community or caste and its spelling in their certificate should be exactly the same as mentioned in the notices given by the government on a frequent basis.
  2. Further, the OBC certificate should also clearly mention that the candidate does not belong to the creamy layer category.
  3. The Other Backward Class claims of any applicant will be defined wrt the state to which their father originally belongs.
  4. The candidate who has migrated from one state to another state should provide the OBC certificate which should have been given to them on the basis of their father’s OBC certificate from the origin of the state to which her/his father originally belongs.
  5. The candidate should have known that no change in the community status will be done.
  6. Those applicants who are seeking age relaxation need to submit copies of the required documents at the time of the verification process.


Guidelines for Reserved Category Candidates 

Reservation for PwBD (Personal with Benchmark Disability)

These candidates will get the 4% reservation from total vacancies. It lies within the overall office-wise posts available for multiple categories.

Reservation criteria for EXS

Reservation for such category-eligible candidates will be applied at 14.5% of total vacancies. It will also include the reservation of disabled Ex-Servicemen and dependents of servicemen killed in action or clubbed together.

For OBC/SC/ST

The candidates belonging to the category of OBC/ST or SC may apply against the unreserved vacancies that have not been reserved for their category in their state.

However, the candidates need to fulfil the RBI assistant eligibility criteria for qualification and age relaxation as per reserved ones.


These candidates, however, are eligible for the fee concession.

 

Notes:

  1. The applicants from the OBC category but who come under the Creamy layer are not entitled to OBC reservation. Such candidates should mention their category as Unreserved or General.
  2. The OBC candidates who are availing of the reservation benefit need to produce the OBC certificate with Non-creamy layer clauses as per Indian Govt. guidelines
  3. The reservation under the multiple categories will be as per prevailing Indian govt guidelines at the time of declaration of the result.

Education Qualification

The candidates should have at least a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks for unreserved categories while for SC/ST or PWD candidates they should have at least the passing marks and the knowledge of the word processing on desktop.

The candidates belonging to the Ec-servicemen category should either be the graduate from a well-recognized university or should have passed the matriculation or the equivalent exams of the armed forces. This clause does not apply to the dependents of the ex-servicemen.

Those applicants who are applying for the post in the particular recruiting office should be proficient in the language such as knowledge of how to read, speak and write) of the state or the states falling under the recruiting office.

Notes:

  1. The date of passing the eligibility test will be the date appearing on the provisional certificate or mark sheet issued by the colleges/universities or institutes.
  2. In any case, if the result of the particular exam is posted on the official website of the college or university, the certificate given by the appropriate authority of the college indicating the date on which the result was posted online, will be taken as the date of passing.
  3. The percentage of marks will be calculated by dividing the score obtained by the applicants in all the subjects their semester, years by aggregating marks in all the subjects irrespective of honours, additional subjects or optional subjects.
  4. The fraction of marks will be ignored and will be counted as a whole i.e. 49.99% will be counted as 50% only.

Language Proficiency

The final stage of the selection process will be the Language Proficiency Test. The applicants who clear the mains exam will have to appear for the Language test. RBI organises this test because it is really important from the post point of view. As managers, these candidates will have to interact with the public directly. The Language Proficiency Test will be conducted in the local language of the respective state. The candidates who don’t prove their proficiency in that respective language will be disqualified.

Notes: 

  • Except for the English language test, the above online tests will be available in both languages, such as Hindi or English.
  • The applicants will have to pass each of the objective tests in the online exam.
  • To appear for the mains exam, the candidates need to qualify for the pre-exam first.
  • There will be a deduction of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. 
  • The roll number of the candidates who successfully passed the main exam for RBI Assistant will be made available on the official website. The successful candidates from the main online exam will be instructed on the Bank’s website to submit the prescribed documents to the regional zone within 15 days.
  • Only those candidates will be called for the Language Proficiency Test who score the highest marks in the Mains online examination. The merit list will be decided by the Bank according to the number of vacancies to be filled in.
  • It is mandatory to give the Language Proficiency Test. No exemption of any sort will be provided to any candidate from appearing in the LPT examination. It will be conducted at the respective offices of the bank. The final selection will be based on the candidate’s performance in the online examination, LPT, certificate verification, medical fitness, biometric and many more to the bank’s satisfaction. 
  • The bank is the only authority whose decision will be final and binding.
  • The appointment of the qualified candidate will be governed by as per medically fit as per the bank rules and regulations.

RBI Assistant Mains Admit Card Schedule Reserve Bank of India will release the hall ticket on the official website once the application process is over. The hall ticket will be issued to those candidates who have successfully filled the application form. The candidates are advised to bring the RBI Assistant Mains Admit Card at the examination centre. Without showing the admit card, no candidate will be allowed to get entry at the examination hall. The candidates who want to download the RBI Assistant Mains exam admit card need to fill in the required login credentials. The admit card will be available on the website in online mode only. The candidates need to make sure that they download the hall ticket timely before closing the window. The RBI Assistant mains admit card will not be sent via post or any offline mode.
