According to the question, Royalty on each book ₹ 210 For the first 5000 books Royalty on 1 book = 7 1 2 % of 210 = 15 2 % of 210 ∴ Royalty on 5000 books = 15 2 × 210 100 × 5000 = ₹ 78750 Again, for the next 5000 books Royalty on 1 book = 10 % of 210 = 10 100 × 210 ∴ Royalty on 5000 books = 10 100 × 210 × 5000 = ₹ 105000 Again, for the last 5000 books Royalty on 1 book = 12 1 2 % of 210 = 25 2 % of 210 ∴ Royalty on 5000 books = 25 2 × 210 100 × 5000 = ₹ 131250 ∴ Total amount received = 78500 + 105000 + 131250 = ₹ 315000
