The major cause of the above-mentioned problems is water pollution that is happening due to rapid industrialisation and urbanisation. Industries are disposing of their untreated wastes and liquids into rivers. Due to this, rivers are getting polluted. These rivers also pass through various wildlife sanctuaries, where animals and birds drink water and stay. This polluted water is very dangerous for their health, and as a consequence, reports of decreasing population of wildlife animals and birds are frequently observed.
