Observe the below image and discuss all the perceptions of an ideal woman that prevail in our society. Do you agree with any of these? If not, what is your image of an ideal woman?

The picture portrays how different facets of society have their perception of an "ideal woman". For the TV serial producers, women are dumb consumers who would consume anything that is given to them. For the fashion industry, they are eye candies, promoting unreal fitness standards that pressurize general women to have unhealthy eating habits and a false perception of beauty. For society, women are machines that would, cook, clean, wash, and rear kids. For an employer, they are just decorative items that are not given any real responsibilities. I do not agree with any of the perceptions of the "ideal woman" portrayed in the picture.

Society pressurises women into specific gender roles that deny them freedom and control over their fates. It projects its own set of ideas of "how a woman should be", on women, instead of giving them the liberty to decide that for themselves. I do not have any perception of an "ideal" woman, however, I wish for a society where women have the true freedom to decide who they are.
