Take an empty glass bottle. Turn it upside down. Dip the open mouth of the bottle into the bucket filled with water as shown in Figure 15.13 (a). Does water enter the bottle? Now tilt the bottle slightly. Can you see water entering the bottle? Do you see bubbles coming out of the bottle or hear any bubble sound Figure 15.13(b)? Can you explain bubbles coming out of the bottle?

a. The water does not enter the bottle as thee is air filled inside the bottle which is not allowing the water to enter into it. It shows air has mass and weight. b.When we tilt the bottle we can see the water entering the bottle while releasing the air from inside the bottle. This air comes out of the bottle as bubbles through water in the bucket. This shows that air is present everywhere.
