Vitamins are organic substances. They are micro nutrients required in small quantities. Actually vitamins are not synthesised in the body, we do not generally suffer from vitamin deficiency. Vitamin B 1 deficiency causes beriberi. Symptoms of vitamin B 1 are vomiting, fits, loss of appetite, difficulty in breathing, paralysis, etc . Vitamin B 2 deficiency causes glossitis. Symptoms of vitamin B 2 are mouth cracks at corners, red, and sore tongue, photophobia, scaly skin, etc . Vitamin B 3 deficiency causes glossitis. Symptoms of vitamin B 3 are dermatitis, diarrhoea, loss of memory, scaly skin.
