Heliophytes can be best defined as those plants which are being adapted to grow under a sufficient amount of sunlight. These plants construct themselves in intensive light conditions as their metabolism requires high sunlight to grow. These plants can be characterised by the presence of special features like- tiny leaves with waxy protection against excessive light radiation and also hairy structures to prevent higher amounts of water loss.
