i)Boycott and national movement along with the Bangbang Movement was one of the important aspects of the Indian National Movement. In $1905$ , the contemporary Lord Curzon divided the Bengal province into East Bengal and West Bengal. According to him, it was difficult to rule a vast province like Bengal under a single government. So to bring administrative proficiency he divided Bengal.

ii)People strongly opposed the partition of Bengal. On the $16$ th October, $1905$ .an announcement was made about boycotting all foreign goods. Nationalist leaders encouraged people to use indigenous products or Swadeshi. Hindu Muslims unitedly participated in this movement. They tied rakhi to each other hands to express their unity.

iii) In non-cooperation and other movement due to the boycott English industry was badly affected while the indigenous industry got benefited. The clothes that were imported from Manchester had stopped. The other goods like sugar, shoes, cigarettes, tobacco which were imported from England like sugar, shoes, cigarettes, tobacco also reduced.

iv)People started buying Indian products. Factories were established to make indigenous products. The effects of this movement were not restricted to the Bengal. The echo of this movement was felt in the other provinces like Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bombay, Madras, and Gujarat. As a result, the Bengal Partition was scrapped by the British government in $1911$ .
