Time is taken to cross itself $= 3$ seconds

Time is taken to cross tunnel $= 33$ seconds

We know that,

Distance $=$ Speed $\times$ Time

$km / hr = \frac{5}{18} m / \sec$

Now convert $96 km / hr into meters / second = 96 \times \frac{5}{18} = \frac{80}{3} m / \sec$

Length of train $= \frac{80}{3} \times 3 = 80$ meters

Distance covered in $33$ seconds $= \frac{80}{3} \times 33 = 880$ meters

Length of tunnel $=$ Distance covered in $33$ seconds $-$ Length of train

$= 880 - 80 = 800$

Therefore, the lengths of train and the tunnel are $80 m and 800 m$ respectively.
