This pigment absorbs sunlight to prepare food by the process of photosynthesis using oxygen, carbon dioxide and water. 5 - f The cytoplasm is a jelly-like substance that is present in between the nucleus and the cell membrane. It is the site where all the cellular reactions take place. 6 - b The cell is made up of various tiny structures called cell organelles. These cell organelles perform a specific function.
