The given reaction is an addition reaction where hydrogen atom breaks the double bond present in ethene an alkyne and attaches to the carbon atoms making it a saturated compound named ethane.

$\underset{ethene}{{CH}_{2} = {CH}_{2}} + H_{2} \to \underset{ethane}{{CH}_{3} - {CH}_{3}}$

Substance A is ethane.It is also known as hydrogenation reaction.

$A + {Cl}_{2} \overset{sunlight}{\to} B + HCl$

The given reaction is a substitution reaction of ethane with chlorine. In the presence of sunlight chlorine atom replaces hydrogen atoms present in the alkane named ethane and forms chloro ethane and another chlorine atom replaces another hydrogen atom on ethane and forms a by-product $HCl$ . It is also known as chlorination of ethane.

$\underset{ethane}{{CH}_{3} - {CH}_{3}} + {Cl}_{2} \overset{sunlight}{\to} \underset{chloro ethane}{{CH}_{3} - {CH}_{2} Cl} + HCl$

Substance B is chloro ethane.
