What is the use of each part of a flower?

The parts which we see in all the flowers are:

Petals: They are bright in colour and are attractive. They attract insects for pollination. Group of petals is called the corolla.

Stamen: It is the male reproductive part of the flower. It has two parts.

Anther: It is the head of a stigma and produces pollen grains which are carried to the female part either by insects or by air.

Filament: Long part of stamen which holds the anther.

Pistil: It is the female reproductive part of the flower. Group of pistils is called Gynoecium. It has three parts

Stigma: Head of the pistil to which the pollen grain sticks when an insect sits on it or when carried by air.

Style: It is a long Hollow tube-like structure that connects stigma and ovary. It allows the pollen grain to pass through it.

Ovary: End part of the pistil which holds Ovules.

Sepals: Leaf-like parts at the base of the petals.
