An old man gives one-fourth of his property to his son, one-fourth of his property to his daughter and the rest to his wife. His wife gave one-third of her share to the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). If the value of the property she gave to the WWF was $₹ 10, 000$ . Find the total value of the property and the amount each person got.

Given, Property given to son $= \frac{1}{4} t h$

Property given to daughter $= \frac{1}{4} t h$

Property given to wife $=$ remaining amount

Property given to WWF $= \frac{1}{3} r d$ of wife's share

Value of property given to WWF $= ₹ 10, 000$

Let the value of the property be $x$

Wife's share $= x - \frac{x}{4} - \frac{x}{4} = \frac{x}{2}$

Value received by WWF $= \frac{1}{3} \times \frac{x}{2} = \frac{x}{6}$

$\frac{x}{6} = 10000$

$x = 6 \times 10000$

$x = 60000$

Therefore, value received by WWF $= ₹ 60000$

Property given to son $= \frac{x}{4} = \frac{1}{4} \times 60000 = ₹ 15000$

Property given to daughter $= \frac{x}{4} = \frac{1}{4} \times 60000 = ₹ 15000$

Property given to wife $= x - \frac{x}{4} - \frac{x}{4} = 60000 - 15000 - 15000 = ₹ 30000$

Hence, total value of the property is $₹ 60000$ , amount received by son and daughter is $₹ 15000$ each and amount received by wife is $₹ 30000$
