If trees are cut, the animals that depend on them for oxygen, food, shelter, breeding environment do not have anywhere to go. As a result, their population decreases and might even disappear from that area completely.

2. Trees are very important for the survival of other living organisms including humans. Trees provide oxygen, food, shelter to animals. They also maintain the temperature of the environment and have an impact on rainfall. If humans keep cutting trees without planting new saplings to maintain a balance, the ecosystem would get disturbed. Thus, Shweta's action of planting saplings in her locality is very thoughtful and should be followed by every child.

3. In the initiative taken by Shweta, she demonstrates values of compassion for the environment, awareness about the importance of trees and responsibility by doing her part and encouraging her friends to plant saplings also.
