  •  The sand gets mixed with humus and forms soil.
  •  The hard rocks present on the surface of the earth are heated up by the sun and cooled down by rain and wind. Due to this constant heating and cooling, they develop cracks.
  •  When the pieces of rocks rub against each other, they further break into very tiny particles forming pebbles, gravel and finally sand.
