The assemblage of plant communities which grow freely on their own without any help from the human beings and are left undisturbed by them for a long period of time is called natural vegetation. It has both direct and indirect benefits to the country.

Conserve trees and forests in our area, especially big trees and mature forests have many benefits. Forests absorb Carbon dioxide and release Oxygen which is mandatory for human and animal survival.

Forests provide us timber which is used for different purposes, such as to make furniture, paper manufacturing, and as a fuel for some industries.

Trees provide a wide range of human health benefits. The medicine is prepared from Sarpgandha shrub to control blood pressure, Katha Khair tree is used to prepare medicines for diseases of mouth and throat, Quinine is acquired from Cinchona, Harar, and Amla are used to prepare many ayurvedic medicines.

Natural Vegetation provides shelter to animals and provides us with timber and many other things. The tanning material is prepared after drying the leaves, barks, and fruits of mangrove, gambier, Harar, Behera, Amla and kikar, etc. Tar wood shrub is also used for leather tanning which is found in south India.

Forests also help in rainfall. In densely forested areas the amount of humidity is increased due to transpiration from the leaves. The winds blowing over such areas become cooler as a result of which the water vapour starts falling on the surface in the form of rain.
