The branch of agriculture that studies the feeding, shelter, health, and breeding of animals is called animal husbandry. The types of animal husbandary shown in the below image are dairy farming and poultry farming. The two uses of dairy farming are: Dairy farming is concerned with the long term production of milk, which is then processed to obtain dairy products such as curd, cheese, yogurt, butter, cream, etc. Dairy farming is a continuous source of income for the people who live in villages and small towns. The two uses of poultry farming are: Birds like ducks, chickens, geese, pigeons, turkeys, etc. are reared in the poultry farms for the production of eggs and meat. The droppings or feaces of poultry birds acts as a source of manure.
