1. Herbs are the smallest, short-sized flowering plants with soft green delicate stems without woody tissues. Generally, they have a few branches. These plants do not grow more than three to four feet in height. These plants are rich sources of vitamins and minerals.

2. Shrubs: Shrubs are medium-sized plants with a hard, thin, brown stem. These plants are longer than herbs and shorter than trees. Therefore, the branches are near to the base.

3. Trees: Trees are big and tall plants. They have very thick, woody, and hard stems called the trunk. This single main stem gives rise to many branches that bear leaves, flowers, and fruits. Some trees are branchless, like a coconut tree. A Tree is a woody perennial plant, having a single stem growing to a considerable height and bearing lateral branches at some distance from the ground.
