For this reason, the Taiga region is found only in the Northern Hemisphere. If there was a lithosphere in the Southern Hemisphere also, then taiga regions would be found there too.

Taiga regions, also known as boreal woods, are largely found in the northern hemisphere due to a combination of geographical and climatic reasons. The northern hemisphere is distinguished by its proximity to the high latitudes of the Arctic Circle, where the taiga biome can thrive.

This hemisphere comprises huge continental landmasses, such as North America, Eurasia (which includes Scandinavia and Siberia), and Canada, which give the required space for extensive boreal forests to emerge.
