Draw a line $\mathrm{AB}$. Mark a point $\mathrm{M}$ outside it. Now draw another line $\mathrm{XY}\parallel \mathrm{AB}$ passing through $\mathrm{M}$.

Draw a line $\mathrm{PQ}=10.3 \mathrm{cm}$. Mark a point $\mathrm{R}$ outside it. Draw $\mathrm{AB}\parallel \mathrm{PQ}$ through $\mathrm{R}$.

A line $\mathrm{XY}$ is given. A perpendicular $\mathrm{LM}$ is drawn on $\mathrm{XY}$ at $\mathrm{M}$. 

Draw a line $\mathrm{PQ}$ through $\mathrm{L}$ such that $\mathrm{PQ}\parallel \mathrm{XY}$. 

Draw a line $\mathrm{AB}$. Draw another line $\mathrm{PQ}$ such that $\mathrm{AB}\parallel \mathrm{PQ}$.

In the following figure, $\mathrm{AB}\parallel \mathrm{CD}$ and $\mathrm{PQ}\perp \mathrm{AB}$. Mark a point $\mathrm{R}$ on $\mathrm{CD}$. Draw a line parallel to $\mathrm{PQ}$ through $\mathrm{R}$ meeting $\mathrm{AB}$ at $\mathrm{S}$ such that $\mathrm{QPRS}$ is a rectangle.
