A solenoid has a cross-sectional area of 6.0 × 104 m2consists of 400 turns per meter, and carries a current of 0.40 A. A 10 turn coil is wrapped tightly around the circumference of the solenoid. The ends of the coil are connected to a 1.5 Ω resistor. Suddenly, a switch is opened, and the current in the solenoid dies to zero in a time 0.050 s. Find the average current in the coil during this time.

A uniform magnetic field B exists in a cylindrical region of radius 1 cm as shown in figure. A uniform wire of length 16 cm and resistance 4.0 Ω is bent into a square frame and is placed with one side along a diameter of the cylindrical region. If the magnetic field increases at a constant rate of 1 T s-1, find the current induced in the frame.
