Andaman and Nicobar Islands: The Andaman and Nicobar Islands is a Union Territory of India, and its capital is Port Blair. It is situated in the Bay of Bengal. This group of islands is divided into two clusters. The Andaman Islands form the northern cluster of islands, and the Nicobar Islands form the southern cluster. Many of the islands in this Union Territory are not occupied by people. Some of these islands have volcanoes, but only one of them is active today.

Lakshadweep Islands: The Lakshadweep Islands are situated in the Arabian Sea. They are close to the Coast of Kerala. They are formed of corals and resemble horseshoe in shape. There are $27$ Islands in this group, and about $17$ of them are uninhabited. The Lakshadweep is also a Union Territory. Their capital is Kavaratti. Islands of this group are less in number and smaller in size than the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
