Define Dalton&rsquo;s law of partial pressures. Using this law, how is the pressure of dry gas determined ?

Dalton’s law of partial pressure states that the total pressure exerted by the mixture of the non-reactive gases is equal to the sum of the partial pressures of individual gases.

Mathematically, it can be written as:
$P_{Total} = P_{1} + P_{2} + P_{3} + \dots$
(at constant temperature &volume)
Where $P_{Total} =$ Total pressure exerted by the mixture of gases
$P_{1}, P_{2}, P_{3} etc =$ partial pressure of individual gases.

Use Dry gas equal to gas in which there is no significant amount of water vapour.
Pressure of dry gas can be calculated by removing pressure of water vapour from the total pressure of the gas which contains water vapours (moist gas).
The pressure exerted by the particles of gases present in the space above the water is saturated water vapour this saturated water vapour exerts its own partial pressure called aqueous tension
To calculated partial pressure of dry gas we have remove / subtract aqueous tension from the total pressure of gas (moist gas).
$P_{drygas} = P_{Total} -$ Aqueous tension
