Boiling is the method of cooking food in boiling water or other water based liquids like stock. Rice, pulses, and some vegetables are cooked by the boiling method. It does not use any oil or other fat.

The heating effect of the sun that warms the water bodies such as oceans, seas, lakes, ponds, and rivers and changes the water into water vapour. This process is called evaporation.

The process during which a solid on heating changes directly into the vapour phase without passing through the intermediate liquid state is called sublimation. Sublimation is an endothermic process. Iodine is one of those compounds which undergoes sublimation process.
