Weather is the condition of the air at a particular time, based on how hot or cold, dry or rainy, and calm or windy a place is. Changes in the condition of air and water around an area cause changes in weather. Hence, the factors that determine the weather are - temperature due to heat of the sun, wind, air pressure, moisture, and clouds.

The amount of water vapour present in the air is called humidity. The sun changes the states of water in nature and causes humidity and rain. When air is humid, our sweat does not evaporate, and we feel sticky and uncomfortable.

Air contains many gases such as nitrogen and oxygen, water vapour, and dust particles. The blanket of air surrounding the Earth's surface is known as the atmosphere. It is extended to a height of about 300 km above the Earth's surface. As we go higher up in the atmosphere, the amount of air becomes lesser.
