Describe a method by which you could directly measure the strength of an electromagnet's field by measuring the force produced by it and compare the strengths of different electromagnets. You should note the factors that affect the strength of the field and how you would vary them?

Electromagnet has many applications, like motors, loudspeakers etc. In an electromagnet, electric current produces magnetic field.

In a simple experiment, we can measure the magnet's strength by counting the number of paper clips an electromagnet can lift. Similarly, comparing the pulling strength of an electromagnet with others, we can compare their magnetic field strength.

Let us make four different electromagnets with $50, 100, 150$ and $200$ turns of wire:

Now pass a constant amount of current in these different bolts, behaving as electromagnets The electromagnet which will lift more number of paper clip has greater magnetic strength.

The magnetic field strength depends mainly on three factors:

$1 .$ The strength of electric current.

$2 .$ Number of turns.

$3 .$ Material used as a core.

By varying the above factors, the strength of the electromagnetic field can be varied.
