Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act, $2005$ - MGNREGA aims to provide $100$ days of wage employment to every rural household to ensure livelihood security. Sustainable development strategies to address the cause of drought, deforestation, and soil erosion. One-third of the jobs proposed have been reserved for women. The share of SC, ST, Women person-days in the scheme is $23 %$ , $17 %$ , and $53 %$ , respectively. The most common works undertaken under the programme are the development of kutcha road within the villages.

Jawahar Rozgar Yojna- It is implemented through the agency of village panchayats, but the Central government provides $80 %$ and the States share $20 %$ of the finance of the scheme. Funds are allocated to the village panchayats in proportion to the size of the population living below the poverty line in the village. It aims at providing $50 - 100$ days of employment to at least one member of every poor family within the village. $30 %$ of employment is reserved for women. The amount is spent on the houses constructed, rural roads, minor irrigation projects, etc.

Prime Minister Rozgar Yojana (PMRY)- It was started in $1993$ . The aim of the programme is to create self-employment opportunities for educated unemployed youth in rural areas and small towns. They are helped in setting up small businesses and industries.

PradhanMantri Gramodaya Yojana (PMGY)- It was launched in the year $2000$ . Central assistance is given to states for basic services such as primary health, primary education, rural shelter, rural drinking water, and rural electrification under this scheme.
