Nostrils: The air is inhaled through the nose where dust particles are filtered by the hair.

Nasal cavity: The air then passes through the nasal cavity where the secreted mucous traps finer dust particles.

Pharynx: The air enters the cavity present at the back of the mouth, known as the pharynx or throat. From the pharynx, air passes through the larynx.

Trachea: Trachea is a long tube, also known as windpipe, supported with incomplete $C -$ shaped rings. The trachea divides into two tubes, called bronchi, which branch out into the lungs.

Bronchi: Each bronchi divides into left and right lungs, and further branches into bronchioles.

Lungs: These are cone-shaped, spongy, and elastic organs located in the thoracic cavity formed by air sacs, bronchioles, blood vessels, etc. The bronchioles end at a thin-walled air sac called alveoli where gas exchange takes place.
