The cross shown in the diagram is based on the monohybrid cross. The above cross showing that when a black fur rabbit is crossed with the white fur rabbit, the hybrids of the F 1 generation are phenotypically black fur rabbit. This justifies the Mendel's law of dominance which says that in a cross between the two individuals of contrasting characters, only one appears in the F 1 generation is called the dominant and another is suppressed is called the recessive character . This genotypical expression of the given cross can be shown as follows: Genotype - 1(Homozygous Black Fur):2 (Heterozygous Black Fur):1 (Homozygous Brown Fur) Phenotype - 3 (Black Fur) :1(Brown Fur) The coat colour is because of the pair of autosomes which contain the hereditary information. They do not contain information related to reproduction and sex determination of the child. The autosomes contain information related to the phenotypic characters.
