Different parts that make up the eye are as follows:

Cornea: It is the transparent front part of the eye. It covers the iris, pupil, and other interior parts of the eye.

Iris: It is a thin circular structure present in the eye. It is responsible for controlling the size of the pupil and restricting the amount of light entering into it. It also provides colour to our eyes.

Pupil: It is the hole located in the centre of the iris. It allows the light to enter the eyes.

Eye lens: It is a transparent biconvex lens in the eye. It helps to refract light so that it can be focused on the retina.

Retina: It is a light-sensitive tissue in the internal part of the eye. It is the place where the focused light forms an image of the object.

Optic nerve: Optic nerves transmit visual signals to the brain which interprets the image.

Blind spot: At the junction of the retina and optic nerve, there is present a non-sensory area. It is known as a blind spot. It does not have any rod or cone cells.
