Draw all the types of triangles classified accordingly to sides and angles and then draw $3$ medians for each of these triangles using scale and compass. From the figure drawn, try to find, if the medians always remain inside the triangle.

The three types of triangle on basis of sides are Equilateral triangle, Isosceles triangle and Scalene triangle and on the basis of angles the three types of triangle are Right angled triangle, Obtuse angled triangle and Acute angled triangle.

We have to construct median for these triangles.

Steps to construct median of a triangle $△ A B C :$

In triangle $△ A B C$ , with centres $B$ and $C$ of the side $B C$ , and with radius more than half of the length of $B C$ , two arcs are drawn on both sides of $B C$ . These arcs intersect at points $P$ and $Q$ .

Point $P$ and $Q$ are joined. $P Q$ cuts $B C$ at the point $D$ . Hence $D$ is the mid-point of $B C$ .

Now, if the points $A$ and $D$ are joined we get $A D$ as one median of the $△ A B C$ . Similarly, using compass and scale two other medians $B E$ and $C F$ are also drawn.

Following these steps we will draw medians for all the six triangles.

From the above figures we can conclude that medians and there point of coincidence always lie within the triangle.
