Step $1$ : Draw a line $BC$

Step $BC$ : By using protractor make an angle of $60 ˚$ from $B$ (angle less than $DC$ ) and mark a point $A$ where the two arcs are intersecting.

Step $3$ : Draw a line joining points $B and A$ .

Step $4$ : Join the points $C and A$ to form the acute angle triangle $ABC$ .

To draw perpendicular from point $A$ ,

Step $1$ : Take $A$ as a centre and draw an arc by cutting line $BC$ at points $E and F$ .

Step $2$ : Take radius less than $BC$ and $E$ as a centre. Draw an arc outside the triangle.

Step $3$ : With the same radius and $F$ as a centre, cut this arc so the arcs intersect each other outside the triangle.

Step $4$ : Draw a line from $A$ which joins this intersecting point.

Step $5$ : This line is the perpendicular of the line $BC$ and cuts it at point $D$ .

Step 6: After measuring the length we can observe that length of $BD = BC$
