Structure of cell wall: The thick, rigid outer envelope of the plant cell is called the cell wall. The main constituent is cellulose which is a carbohydrate. They have two parts: primary and secondary cell wall. The primary cell wall is the outer permeable membrane. The secondary cell wall has three layers; outer layer, middle layer and inner layer.

Structure of cell membrane: The thin semi-permeable membrane that surrounds the protoplasm of the cell is called the plasma membrane. The alternative name of the plasma membrane is the cell membrane. It is made up of lipids and proteins. The most accepted model of the cell membrane is Fluid-Mosaic Model proposed by Singer and Nicolson in 1972.
