Veins: Veins convey the blood away from the organ or tissue. Veins collect the blood from different organs and bring it back to the heart.

The muscles of the small intestine mix food with digestive juices from the pancreas, liver, and intestine, and push the mixture forward for further digestion. The walls of the small intestine absorb water and the digested nutrients into your bloodstream. As peristalsis continues, the waste products of the digestive process move into the large intestine.

Explain the process of translocation of food materials in plants.

Translocation is the movement of nutrients and other materials from leaves to other tissues throughout the plant. Autotrophs or green plants prepare their food through photosynthesis. Starch is produced as food. The food is transported from leaves to all parts of the plant body. Translocation takes place in sieve tubes with the help of companion cells.

Under what condition lactic acid is produced in the muscle cells?

Under anaerobic respiration condition, lactic acid is produced in the muscle cells. E.g. Running for a long duration. The body makes lactic acid when it is low in the oxygen it needs to convert glucose into energy. Lactic acid buildup can result in muscle pain, cramps, and muscular fatigue. These symptoms are typical during strenuous exercise and are not usually anything to worry about as the liver breaks down any excess lactate.
