Noise is a term used to describe a sound that is unpleasant to our hearing. Music is a type of sound that is pleasing to the ear and has a calming effect. Music is an ordered sound, whereas noise is a chaotic sound. Music and noise are both made up of different frequencies. Noise is made up of random and continuous component frequencies with no dominant frequency, whereas sound is made up of rational and discrete component frequencies with a dominant frequency.

The vibrations of stretched strings on stretched wires produce musical notes in stringed musical instruments. A string is a thin wire strand. Thin metal strings are attached securely between two places of a stringed musical instrument.
